Remia was founded by Lauren, a Lehigh University student with a background in journalism, who brings firsthand experience from five years working in memory care programming. During that time, she saw caregivers struggle with generic activities that failed to meaningfully engage residents or slow cognitive decline.
Co-founded by Luke, a Colgate University graduate with a degree in Mathematical Economics, inspired by a deeply personal experience. After watching his grandmother slowly decline with the progression of dementia, he knew there had to be a better way to preserve connection and dignity in memory care. Remia was built with one mission in mind: to save a piece of “Nana” every day.
Together, we are building a solution that blends compassion with technology — delivering personalized reminiscence therapy at scale while preserving what matters most: identity, memory, and human connection.
